Summer-time at the Bernard house!

What a busy, busy time we have had! Sorry that it's been so long since we have put on some pictures - we run out of storage space on the laptop, so it's been a little difficult to store pictures. As well, Meghan was a busy little bee on the computer what time Mommy was cooking dinner one evening, so all the pictures that we downloaded disappeared! We are still trying to recover those, hopefully we can find them in the computer "outer space". Anyways, hope all of you are having a great summer! We have spent some time at the pool, playing outside, and lots of other fun things. Abby is loving her summer preschool camp. Just two more weeks and she will be done for a few weeks, then she starts pre-K the first of September. Can you believe it???? She also took another series of swim lessons and has done very well. Meghan has been having some one on one time with Mommy, as her work schedule got a little lighter in the summer. So she has gotten to play at the park and do some other things what time Abby has been at summer camp. Other than that, we are planning on just enjoying the last of the summer. Take care and stay cool!

Abby has a new "big girl" bed!!!!

Abby had a big suprise when she came home one day - Mommy and Daddy had found her a twin bed that matched her furniture! They got a great deal on it! Her toddler bed does make a full size bed, but since that would take up a lot of space in her room, Mommy and Daddy thought that this would be a great idea for now! So, that bed will have to wait!

Can you tell that I am a little excited??

And of course, Meghan had to immediately jump on it, just to check it out....

This is bliss! And of course, I love Tinkerbell!

The sheets are so nice and clean, and the pillow is so soft! It just doesn't get much better than this!

What a great place to watch Cinderella!

And there is so much room in my new bed, that Meghan joined me! Just for a short time though, she laughes and giggles too much and she had to go to her bed eventually. But don't worry Meghan, Mommy and Daddy got such a great deal on my bed that they got you one as well and put it away for later!! Thank goodness for Kmart "close-outs"!

And Abby made her own bed the very next morning. Not too bad of a job!

Follow the Yellow Brick Road.....

Definitely one of the highlights for the summer....Nunny and Papaw got us tickets to the Wizard of Oz, which was put on at Jenny Wiley Theatre in KY. Both of the girls put on their Dorothy dresses and ruby red slippers, and away we went!
Enjoying some popcorn at intermission....

And we got to meet Dorothy after the show....how cool was that!

And Dorothy loves Abby's hair - it was just like hers! That is one of the reasons that Abby wants her hair to grow, so it can be like Dorothy's.....

Thank you Nunny!!!! We had a great time!

Summer fun at the pool!

Abby loves the play in the water, a big change from a few months ago.

Meghan is still a little hesitant, but doing some better in the water!

There's no better way to cool off on a hot day.

Whatcha looking at?

You know what break time is - snack time for us!

And this is the result of a little pool time - am I tired or what!!!

Some more summer fun.....

The sun is a little bright in this spot! Here we are outside of the YMCA after Abby spends a fun-filled morning playing and learning. Meghan likes to give her a hand with her backpack.

Gpa and Grandma Julie came out to visit - we had a great time swimming in the hotel pool!

The glasses are a little too small, huh Abby!

Meghan hates to be squirted, but doesn't mind being on the other end of the hose.

And what fun is the summer without bubbles?

How many can you catch Abby?

OK, how many of you can do this?

Let's go for a ride!

The days of Mommy and Daddy pulling us along in the little red wagon are over - now we can make ourselves motor down the sidewalk....

Everything goes pretty smooth until I have to peddle up that hill.....

I'm outta here!

Happy 4th of July!

On a cool 4th of July we headed down to River Scape for some good food and the fireworks...The only question that the girls kept asking was, "Will Tinkerbell be here?"

Abby put down the chicken on a stick long enough for me to grab a bite...

We had some great seats to the show!

The girls having some fun...

Still looking for Tinkerbell.

Very attentive, huh Meghan?!?

What a great time!!!! Well, I guess it was just too far for Tinkerbell to come all the way to OH, but thankfully that news went ok with the girls and they weren't too disappointed.

Let's go on a picnic!

We didn't have to go too far to go on a picnic...just a small walk to the backyard! As long as we had some shade, that was all the Abby was concerned with, so we packed up the picnic basket, grabbed Daddy's Cubs blanket, and away we went!

Meghan was loving her sandwich!

And another of Meghan's favorites: strawberry pie! She and Abby both can put it away...

In my own little world enjoying some of my pie!
