Going to the Fall Festival at the YMCA.....

This was the first of a few times we got to wear our costumes, Meghan being a pirate princess and Abby a pumpkin princess. Let's go get this party started!

Cute as I could be!

Meghan gets a pumpkin painted on her face, which did not come off for several days!

Abby entered the coloring contest.

Meghan picked out a ghost to color.

Abby's finished picture.

And off to paint pumpkins....

Abby was seriously concentrating on this task.

As was Meghan...

Not too bad, huh!

And off to the obstacle course, which Abby helped herself to lots and lots of chocolate.

And Meghan tried out pumpkin bowling and did quite well!

No one was expecting the left hand....

And Meghan led the pack in the obstacle course.

Still picking tomatoes...

Betcha can't tell who just woke up from a nap? The funny thing is that anytime we make Abby takes a nap, she either says that "taking naps make me mad" or "I'm not tired." But, she sure does sleep pretty good, the hair says it all!

So what time Abby was asleep, Meghan helped us pick the last of the tomatoes before the frost came. It was a great tomato season for us!

Our Morning at the Pumpkin Patch....

On a brisk October morning, the girls got to go with their preschool classes to the pumpkin farm. They had waited a very long time to not only go on a hayride, but to also pick their very own pumpkin out of the pumpkin patch. Even though Meghan was fighting a nasty ear infection, we put on their hats and gloves and away we went!

I sure make this pile of pumpkins look good~

Are those pumpkins talking to me???

At first, Meghan was a little unsure as the tractor took off, while Abby was all smiles the entire trip.

Can you tell it's a little chilly by my red nose?!

This is fun stuff!

Here we are in the pumpkin patch and I am scoping out the perfect one to take home.

Come on Abby, I believe these over here are bigger!

Wow, this thing is much heavier than it looks!
Come on Meghan, pick up that pumpkin!!!!

With a little help from Daddy, we can get it done.

Abby is proud of her prized pumpkin.

Whew, I don't know if I can get this back to the tractor.....

Taking some time out to pose for a pic.

Since we dumped off our pumpkins on Mommy and Daddy, it's time to catch our ride back to the barn for some playtime in the hay and to pick up some apples from the market. What a great day at the pumpkin patch!

Having some fun at Pumpkin Fest.....

On an unusually warm Saturday, Mommy took us to a park close to our house for Pumpkin Fest. We got to pick out our own little pumpkins to paint!

First we had to wash and dry them so we could paint them.

The artists go to work!

Of course we have to glue on it's eyes, ears, and mouth.

Ta-Da! Mine is all finished and ready to go be put on the porch of my new playhouse!

It's Disney on Ice!

Wow, have we waited quite some time to see Tinkerbell skate around on the ice....Mommy and Daddy took us to Disney on Ice in Cincinnati a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time.

I'm so excited I just can't stand it!!!!!

And of course I had to wear my Tinkerbell shirt.

As long as there is popcorn, I am entertained.

Tinkerbell and her fairy friends brightened up the ice! The Little Mermaid, Cars, and the Lion King had their turns on the ice first and all Meghan and Abby kept asking was, "where's Tinkerbell?" Finally, she came out after the break and stole the show!

Three country girls enjoying the big city!

Fall has Arrived at the Bernards....

So, the weather is cooler and the leaves are falling, and it's been a very busy few weeks at our house. Check out all our pictures below to get a glimpse of what's been happening with us. As well, we have a lot planned for the month of October. We have a hayride scheduled at pre-school, as well we get to pick our very own pumpkin. How cool is that?! But before we do that, Mommy and Daddy are taking us to Disney on Ice, as Tinkerbell and Simba will be there! (but the girls don't know that, it's a big suprise)! And of course it is trick-or-treat time, and we get to go to Kings Island to Nick or Treat, and go get some goodies with Dora and Diego. Lastly, G-Pa is coming to see us! So, keep tuned as we will get pics on as soon as we can of our fall adventures.

We learned all about fire fighters!

On Monday, it was a big day at school! The big red fire truck came to school and Fire Fighter Jason told us all about how he fights fires and taught us about fire safety. Then he gave everyone in the class our very own hats and badges. He even let us sit in the big red truck! To listen to Meghan tell the story, she actually "drove" around the school. They were very excited about their day. Oh, Abby did not wear what she has on in the picture to school - apparently Nunny told her that when she came home from school, she had to change into play clothes. She does listen sometimes!

Check out our new playhouse!

Are we lucky or what?!!! Mommy has a co-worker that bought a house and this playhouse was in the backyard. Chrissy told Mommy that if she came to get it, we could have it for our very own!! So Daddy and Uncle Shon went to take it apart (much bigger than they thought - it took them 3 hours to get it down) and then Mommy and Daddy rented a truck and brought it to our house the next day. It's still a work-in-progress, but it is really cool! Meghan and Abby want to paint it purple and hot pink, so that should be interesting. That might have to wait until the spring. As well, Daddy and G-Pa are going to put new shingles on it in a few weeks! It just doesn't get much better than that!

Meghan put her baby cradle in the house, and before she lays her in it she goes to sleep in Meghan's arms...

And Abby get's dinner on to cook.

Meghan loves her keyboard.

Time to sweep the porch!

And Meghan Starts Preschool!

With Abby getting to go to Pre-K, Meghan begged to go to preschool as well. Luckily there were a few slots still available, so Meghan began school on Sept. 29th. She was very excited, but would it last once she was dropped off and it was for real?!?

She's looking a little nervous....

But once she got there, she was ready to rock and roll! Even though the peg with her name on it was a stretch, she was able to get her backpack and lunchbox placed on it. So far, so good!
