We had unusually warm temps here the first week of November, so we decided to load up our bikes and take a cruise on a local bike trail. It was a great day to ride bikes!
Look, no hands!
I'm 5 years old and I love the camera;-)
And of course we had to stop to throw some rocks in the river.
Daddy gives Meghan a hand with her helmet.
And with my teddy bear along for the ride, we are off again!
We reached a point that we thought we should turn around, since the dam was too steep to climb on the Dora bikes.
Get back on the road Meghan...
Since the sun was setting, we made our way back to the car and went out for pizza.
Lots of hard work went in to making this playhouse awesome! Uncle Shon flew down from Cleveland and G-Pa drove out from Kansas to visit us one weekend. We put them to work!
But, there was time for play as well...
It's a good thing we have a sturdy swing set;-)
Now it has new shingles, insulation, a new window, and paneling on the walls! Abby took a short nap in the house when their work was completed for the day. Thank you guys very, VERY much! Now, who can we talk into helping us paint the house purple and hot pink when springtime rolls around?????
Uncle Shon looks tired from his manual labors of the day....
More treats for me came around at our Halloween party.
Meghan couldn't quite figure out that the Halloween party was not a birthday party. After all, every party she has been to has been for someone's birthday. So, she comprimised and sang happy birthday to the pumpkins.
Both classes combined for the party.
Meghan takes a whack at the pumpkin pinata!
And this is what it looks like when a bunch of 3-5 year olds go after candy!
Even G-pa came to the party and attempts to give the girls a hand with their Capri Sun.
More sugar for me.....
Geez G-Pa, just open the straw and punch it through the foil package:-)
As you can tell, Meghan much prefers the icing vs. the cake.
We can't let all this good stuff go to waste!
Still going strong.....I'm sure that a lot of fruits and veggies are in our future after these few days of feasting on treats!
The big night that we rehearsed for is finally here!
We even took our neighbor friend Jesse along for some treats.
Now this is a spooky house!
Half-way through the adventure, the girls wanted their wagon. Which I might add, not much room left in the wagon anymore. AND, it's a little more difficult to pull.....
And of course, their is some left-over sand in it, as we did not get a chance to clean it out first. Who cares, we're going to get some more treats!
And just in time, G-Pa showed up to help us out to finish the night. But, with the look on Meghan's face, G-Pa must have tried to take some of her candy;-)
So, do you think this is enough to last until I get my Christmas stocking???
Let the candy fest begin!
It's a good thing that we went to that last house, because they were handing out full-size Hersey's bars! What a fun evening!
