BernardGirls: May 2007

Our family update....

Well, warm weather is in full swing and we have a busy summer planned ahead. As most of you know and as hard as it is to believe Meghan will be celebrating her 2nd birthday next weekend. Nunny and Mommy took her to the party store to pick out her birthday theme and it was hands down "Blues Clues." On June 5th she goes to Children's Hospital for surgery to have tubes put in her ears. It's been a tough spring for the little girl but hopefully she will be on the mend after this is done. She still pulls at her ears but there's still quite a bit of fluid behind both of her ear drums which will not resolve on its own. So, keep her in your thoughts and prayers please!

Abby, on the other hand, is growing like crazy as well. She has her last swim lesson this week of this sesson. We're not for sure if she's ready to move on yet but she did well with this class. Her first dentist appointment is coming up next week, in which she thinks that she is going to go get her big girl teeth. We'll see how that goes! We are also going to let her go to summer camp at the YMCA a couple of weeks over the summer, in which they do arts and crafts and take a field trips twice a week. So as you can see, we will be busy, busy, BUSY! Enjoy the pictures and look for more as the summer progresses!

Our first trip of the year to Kings Island!

Are we going to have this year or what - Dad got us season passes to Kings Island and Meghan can finally get on the rides with Abby! Meghan took her first ride with the Backyardigans on their swing - we made a couple more stops here before the day was done...

Believe it or not, Meghan did a good job waiting in line, and for those of you that know Meghan - well, needless to say that is a big accomplishment!

And since Meghan is having a Blues Clues birthday party, she had to take a ride on Blue!

Daddy and the girls take in the new Dora show, as she goes on an adventure to help find the Big Red Chicken...

Along with that came the chicken dance and Meghan has it down as you can see!

Bust a rug girls!

And here we are after we got off the river adventure ride and we got soaked! Daddy actually took the blunt of it as a big elephant squirted us when we were almost done - he got really wet! Meghan loved it but we may have to convience Abby to get back on it...

And here is Diego!

Diego let Meghan and Abby borrow his wheels for a little cruise through the jungle.

Abby may need a few trips with Uncle Chad on the bumper cars before she gets really good at it;-)

Yeah, we need a little relaxing time as we have had a busy day.

Enough rest for Meghan, as she is dancing again to some Jamacian music - she is a treat to watch!

Swiper no swiping!

These girls are having a great time together.

We also stopped by the water park to check it out, Abby stood on the side and Meghan was not shy at all! Here she is with her clothes dry....

And here was Abby's safe haven, no getting wet again for her!

And here is Meghan with her clothes not so dry - she took a little swim at the wave pool.

We made it to the evening and Abby and Meghan played a game where they squirted water at the target. Each walked away with a Dora doll.

And one last cruise before the night is done.

And Meghan's most prized doll of all as Dora still lives on in the Bernard household! What a great end to the day!

Another day of playtime...

Our babysitter needed the day off so Mom took off of work and we played, played, and played some more - she sure picked a good day to stay home;-) Abby wanted to fill up her pool all by herself!
